The Spare Parts & Engineering Coordinator is a critical enabler of equipment reliability and operational performance, responsible for establishing and maintaining best-in-class spare parts governance, data integrity, and cross-functional coordination. This role ensures that the right parts are available at the right time—eliminating downtime risk, improving maintenance efficiency, and driving disciplined lifecycle management across all equipment assets. By owning spare parts processes, systems, and coordination, this position allows Engineering and Maintenance teams to remain focused on root cause problem-solving, reliability improvement, and capital execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage spare parts inventory across all storage locations (D111, D131, E111, E129, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain minimum/maximum levels, reorder points, and critical spares strategy
  • Ensure real-time accuracy of inventory through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation
  • Maintain high-integrity master data including part numbers, BOMs, equipment linkage, and descriptions
  • Ensure all spare parts are properly structured within EAM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, etc.)
  • Drive standardization of naming conventions, classifications, and system usage
  • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance to define critical spare parts lists by toolset
  • Support uptime improvement initiatives by ensuring availability of failure-prone components
  • Assist with BOM accuracy, work order documentation, and equipment history tracking
  • Serve as the central integrator between Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and Warehouse
  • Drive alignment on priorities, part availability, and escalation of shortages
  • Ensure seamless communication across shifts and departments
  • Coordinate sourcing, vendor engagement, and lead time tracking for all spare parts
  • Manage obsolescence, part substitutions, and lifecycle risk mitigation
  • Partner with Procurement to ensure cost-effective and timely supply
  • Track and report key KPIs:
Stock accuracy, Fill rate / part availability, Stockouts impacting downtime, Inventory turns and excess/obsolete inventory
  • Identify and execute process improvements aligned to Lean / Six Sigma principles
  • Support I2I initiatives related to spare parts optimization and warehouse control
  • Support urgent breakdown scenarios by coordinating rapid part availability
  • Assist in driving standard work and process discipline across teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in:
Inventory management, Maintenance coordination, Engineering or manufacturing support
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capability in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and process discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.)
  • Knowledge of spare parts planning, reliability, and maintenance operations
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and manufacturing workflows
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
