Job Title:Quality Technician
Location:Pataskala, OH
Schedule:Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
· (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch
Pay Rate:Starting up to $23/hr
Job Summary:
The quality technician at Ridge will assist team members in collecting, recording, and analyzing production quality data. This employee will be expected to participate in document control and quality standards; to issue quality alerts and corrective actions; and to drive CAR closure. Additional duties will include identifying quality exposures or non-compliances; collecting data and presenting through standardized protocols and gauging R&R and calibration certifications.
This position is a hands-on position and will be working directly with other members of the production team, safety, quality and engineering.
Primary Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
· Ability to develop product quality standards to include visual aids
· Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues, and document corrective actions
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Communicate effectively with all mfg personnel
· Ability to develop precision instructions with comprehensive details
· Ability to use various measuring tools with accuracy
· Ability to develop inspection processes
· Ability to create effective reports including charts, graphs, and data trends
· Excellent presentation skills for both formal and informal settings
· Excellent time management and task prioritization skills while working n fast paced environment
· Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and accuracy in paperwork
· Ability to work both independently and with a team
· Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology
· Makes recommendations to continually improve processes
· Performs other duties as assigned
Primary Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. · Two (2) year ISO quality experience/exposure
· Knowledge of and ability to effectively apply APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC strategies and techniques
· Ability to effectively utilize control plans and flow charts
· Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications
· Knowledge of composites and plastics
· Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
· Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions
· Work with measurements, micrometers, calipers and tape measures
· Ability to be self-motivated, working with minimal to no supervision
Workplace Experience:
· Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
Ergonomic Requirements:
· Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
· Ability to use Power Tools safely
