What You’ll Do
- Guide team members through daily tasks to keep the kitchen running smoothly and boost sales performance.
- Supervise staff in cooking, serving, packaging, and counter service to ensure quality and consistency.
- Oversee storage, rotation, and maintenance to keep ingredients fresh and minimize waste.
- Assist with food inventory, ordering, and sales goals to meet department targets.
- Create shift schedules and assign responsibilities to keep coverage balanced and efficient.
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members to set them up for success.
- Ensure staff follow company policies, food safety standards, and store procedures.
- Verify that all products are properly labeled with correct pricing and expiration dates.
- Track stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Operate and care for kitchen tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming food deliveries promptly.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience – 1+ year of leadership experience in retail or food service
- Leadership – A team-first mindset with strong communication skills
- Operations – Comfortable with leading, inventory, and basic store systems
- Tech comfort – Familiar with POS systems and basic software (Word, Excel, Email)
- Serve Safe certification – Required or willingness to obtain
- Customer focus – Committed to creating a welcoming experience for every guest
- Stamina and mobility – Physical tasks are part of the role: expect repetitive movements like bending and reaching, standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in outdoor areas or temperature‑controlled spaces like walk‑in coolers.
