RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and accommodate students' language proficiency levels.
Teach academic subjects, such as math and science, in a second language.
Assess students' academic and language development progress through formal and informal evaluations.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student achievement and well-being.
Collaborate closely with the District Department Chair of ENL and Bilingual Programs K-5, teachers, and building administrators to enhance instructional practices and support student success.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching methods, language acquisition research, and educational technology.
Incorporate cultural materials and perspectives into the curriculum to enhance students' learning experiences.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
