Bus Aides Part-time

Position: Bus Aides Part-time #69
RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supports children on the bus as per their Individualized Education Plans (IEP's).

* Supervises and redirects the behavior of children on the bus to ensure safety for the students.

* Must pass a physical performance test bi-annually as per NYSED requirements.

* Must attend a Pre-Service Class related to job responsibilities as mandated by NYSED.

* Must attend an additional ten-hour basic course on special education requirements including behavior management, wheelchair accessibility, use of vests, etc.

* Must attend two different (2) hour refresher classes yearly to keep up-to-date on procedures and requirements.

* Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older to qualify.

Districtwide

HOURS:

Various Shifts (6:00 a.m.

-9:30 a.m. or 1:15 p.m.

- 4:15 p.m.)

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

All costs associated with these employment requirements are the responsibility of the employee:

* Fingerprint clearance from the NY State Department of Education (NYSED)

* Drug Screening

* Physical Examination
