Woodwinds Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Woodwinds Music Teacher to provide engaging private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels on flute, clarinet, saxophone, and other woodwinds, using structured curriculum and individualized lesson plans. You'll prepare students for performances, auditions, and school programs while communicating regularly with parents and educators.

You'll collaborate with store staff, support student recruitment and retention, and maintain accurate schedules and progress records in a friendly, student-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group woodwind lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans and curriculum aligned to student goals
• Instruct on flute, clarinet, saxophone, and related woodwind instruments with proper technique and theory
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and school music programs
• Communicate student progress regularly with parents, guardians, and educators
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and progress notes for all students
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and student retention
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment in the store
• Assist with occasional recitals, workshops, or in-store educational events
