WorkEnvironment
Located in Patchogue, New York, our rehabilitation facility serves as a welcoming hub for both patients and staff. As an onsite physical therapist, you will work within a fully equipped rehabilitation facility that promotes healing through a combination of advanced therapeutic techniques, state-of-the-art equipment, and a supportive workplace culture. Your schedule will generally consist of 40-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will involve:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine individualized treatment programs.
- Designing and implementing treatment protocols that encompass a wide range of therapeutic techniques, adapting to each patient's unique needs and goals.
- Providing direct care to patients, facilitating their recovery through personalized therapeutic sessions both within the clinic and in home settings.
- Exhibiting excellent customer service to enhance patient interactions, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, which may include physicians, occupational therapists, and nurse practitioners, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Educating patients and their caregivers about treatment plans and self-care strategies to support ongoing recovery.
- Meeting organizational targets by managing patient caseloads efficiently and effectively, striving to exceed minimum utilization goals.
In this role, you'll work with a diverse clientele, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. Each case may present its own challenges, from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management, allowing you to apply your knowledge and skills in a variety of contexts. Your ability to foster strong therapeutic relationships will be crucial, as you'll engage with patients from varying backgrounds, each with unique recovery journeys.
QualificationsTo thrive in this position, candidates must possess:
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) along with a valid state license for physical therapy practice in New York.
- At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a variety of settings, which will prepare you for the complexities of our patient demographics.
- Basic Life Support certification accredited by the American Heart Association.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in computer applications and word processing, essential for maintaining accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- A genuine desire to foster patient relationships and enhance community connections for improved care delivery.
While a minimum of two years in a clinical setting is required, candidates with experience in manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation, or working with pediatrics and geriatrics will be given preference. Such backgrounds will enable you to enrich our practice through innovative approaches to patient treatment.
Compensation and BenefitsThe position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to financial compensation, we offer a robust benefits package that includes:
