As an Assistant Residence Manager, you'll help oversee a Residential program that supports individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Working closely with the Residence Manager, you'll ensure residents receive exceptional care and support while helping lead and develop a dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals.

You'll also step into a leadership role when the Residence Manager is unavailable.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of a residential program
  • Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals
  • Ensure staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care
  • Communicate with families, guardians, and advocates regarding resident progress and well-being
  • Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support the implementation of individual goals, plans, and services
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
  • Help ensure compliance with regulatory and agency requirements
  • Provide direct support to residents when staffing needs arise

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 to 6 months of related experience
  • Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1-year licensed driving experience
