About the Role As an Assistant Residence Manager, you'll help oversee a Residential program that supports individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Working closely with the Residence Manager, you'll ensure residents receive exceptional care and support while helping lead and develop a dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals.
You'll also step into a leadership role when the Residence Manager is unavailable.
What You'll DoAssist with the day-to-day operation of a residential program
Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals Ensure staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care Communicate with families, guardians, and advocates regarding resident progress and well-being
Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support the implementation of individual goals, plans, and services
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
Help ensure compliance with regulatory and agency requirements
Provide direct support to residents when staffing needs arise
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED1 to 6 months of related experience
Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1-year licensed driving experience
