Registered Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse #80
Hours:

8:00 a.m.

-4:00 p.m.

Salary: $49,738/$51,233 with BS Degree

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

* Must be CPR/AED Certified

* Provides basic health care and first aid to students that are ill, medically fragile and/or injured

* Provides treatment, documents injuries and maintains medical records

* Provides ongoing communication with parents regarding injuries, medications, immunizations, allergies, etc.

* Administers daily medications

* Maintain up-to-date student records on all students (i.e., physicals and immunizations)

* Follows NYS guidelines for immunization compliance

* Follows NYS Guidelines for vision, hearing, scoliosis screenings and physicals

* Gathers data and reports findings on NYS immunization and BMI surveys

* Responds to all medical emergencies within the building

* Participates in 504 meetings

* Must have basic computer skills to document records and maintain communication logs

* May attend field trips when medically required

* Prior pediatric and/or school experience preferred
