Client: Well-Known Organization
Role: Junior Accountant (Temp-to-Perm)
Pay Rate: $24–$26/hour
Location: Newark, NJ
The Junior Accountant will support the finance department with day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with potential for long-term growth.
Responsibilities- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with financial reports and schedules
- Support audits and compliance requirements as needed
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1+ year of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP a plus)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Nonprofit experience is a plus but not required
