Job Location:
Paterson, NJ – 07512 (within 40 minutes commutable distance)
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $53,500.00 + full-time benefits
Experience required: 2 years to 5 years (junior profiles required)
Prioritized Must-Have Skills for the Staff Accountant:- #1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- #2. 0 to 2 years of accounting or finance experience
- #3. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- #4. Strong Excel skills, including reporting and data management
- #5. Close attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills
- Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations, ns including prepaid expenses, receivables, accruals, and intercompany accounts
- Maintain and update accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with the preparation and organization of documentation for external audits
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP standards
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Support financial reporting and ad hoc reporting as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 0 to 2 years of accounting or finance experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- close attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor or similar accounting software
- Familiarity with advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
- Exposure to financial analysis or reporting
