Responsibilities:- Serve as the technical accounting lead by monitoring and interpreting GAAP, SAP, SEC, FASB, and NAIC guidance, overseeing the implementation of new accounting standards, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage general accounting operations, including the financial close process, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial analyses, management reports, and financial statement schedules to support business decision-making and external reporting requirements.
- Coordinate audit activities and prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and regulatory reviews.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while promoting efficient processes and strong internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SAP, SOX 404, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years relevant SEC accounting experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting functions
