Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant

Our client is seekingan experienced

Senior Accountant to oversee our manufacturing financial operations. You will analyze production costs, manage inventory valuations, and partner with plant operations to drive cost efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills to turn plant floor data into actionable financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting:
  
  Maintain standard cost systems and analyze manufacturing variances.
• Inventory Control:
  
  Reconcile raw materials, and finished goods ledgers.
• Month-End Close:
  
  Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and plant financial statements.
• Operational Analysis:
  
  Partner with production managers to identify waste and optimize yield.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  
  Assist in developing annual plant budgets and monthly operational forecasts.
• Audit & Compliance:
  
  Coordinate physical inventory counts and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years strictly in manufacturing.
• Certifications:
  
  CPA, CMA, or progress toward them is highly desirable.
• Software:
  
  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems ideally MS Dynamics 365 or GP
• Core
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong understanding of GAAP, data analysis, and cross-functional communication.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
