We are looking for a Staffing Specialist to support a New York home care agency. Our mission is to ensure high‑quality home care services for seniors by efficiently assigning caregivers, maintaining compliance, and coordinating schedules. Responsibilities
  • New Case Staffing:
    Assign caregivers to new cases, ensuring the right match based on skills, language, location, and availability. Coordinate schedules and confirm assignments with caregivers and patients.
  • Authorization Follow‑Up:
    Monitor and confirm that all required authorizations are obtained and up to date.
  • Hospital Follow‑Up:
    Track patient hospitalizations and coordinate staffing for discharge planning.
  • Missed In/Out Calls:
    Address and follow up on any missed clock‑ins or clock‑outs.
  • Call Maintenance:
    Manage incoming and outgoing calls related to staffing needs.
  • Existing Patient Staffing:
    Assist in filling open shifts to ensure continuity of care.
  • Update Aide Availability:
    Maintain and update caregiver schedules and availability.
  • Plan of Care (POC) Updates:
    Ensure caregiver assignments align with the patient’s care plan.
  • HHA Exchange App Support:
    Assist caregivers with accessing and using the HHAExchange app, including sending access links.
  • In‑Service Follow‑Up:
    Ensure caregivers complete all required in‑service training.
  • Attendance Reports:
    Monitor and generate reports on caregiver attendance and compliance.
  • Float Coordinator Support:
    Step in as a float coordinator when needed.
  • Written Explanation Follow‑Up:
    Review and follow up on caregiver explanations regarding policy infractions or discrepancies.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    Support the staffing department with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in home care staffing or a related role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and home care scheduling software (HHAExchange preferred).
  • Bilingual skills (English and Russian/Spanish) are a plus.
Schedule

Mon‑Fri 9 am – 5:00 pm according to New York time.
