As our school grows, we are seeking a warm, friendly, and highly organized mentsch to join us as the Assistant to the Preschool Director. In this key role, you will help us provide a second-to-none, high-quality experience for all of our children and their families.
Responsibilitiesinclude
- Family & Staff Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact, fostering a warm, welcoming environment.
- Compliance & Licensing: Maintain comprehensive student files to ensure full compliance with state licensing standards.
- Attendance & Billing: Manage student attendance records and utilize this data for monthly billing.
- Calendar Management: Oversee school calendars and synchronize them with the shared organizational calendar.
- Program Support: Assist directors and teachers with educational programs, including physical setup and logistics.
- Inventory Control: Manage snacks, supplies, and storage areas by establishing efficient inventory and reordering systems.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide clerical support to the director, including organizing, copying, laminating, and preparing mailings.
- Communications: Assist with the preparation and delivery of weekly newsletters via Constant Contact.
- Food Service Liaison: Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage the daily preschool lunch service.
- Operations Coordination: Partner with Synagogue office and maintenance staff to ensure seamless school activities.
- Safety & Security: Help maintain a healthy, safe, and secure facility for all children and staff.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Constant Contact (or similar email marketing tools)
- Shul Cloud (or similar synagogue/school management software)
- Graphic design applications (e.g., Canva)
