Job Overview - Medical Receptionist
Compensation: $21/hour

Monmouth County, NJ
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (In-Office, 1-2 Saturdays per Month)
TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Medical Receptionist in Monmouth County, NJ for our client, supporting patient scheduling, front desk operations, insurance verification, and medical office administration. The Medical Receptionist will serve as a primary point of contact for patients while maintaining accurate records and supporting efficient daily operations in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment.
Responsibilities as the Medical Receptionist:- Patient Reception: Greet and assist patients while providing professional and responsive front desk support.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate patient appointments while maintaining accurate scheduling information.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and collect required information prior to appointments.
- Patient Registration: Enter and update patient demographics, insurance information, and other required data within electronic systems.
- Medical Records: Maintain patient records and assist with accurate filing, retrieval, and organization of clinical documentation.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to clinical and office staff to support efficient daily operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: 1+ year of medical receptionist, healthcare administrative, patient services, or comparable office experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical office operations and health insurance processes is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Basic computer and data entry skills are required, with Epic or similar electronic health record system experience preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, organization, customer service, independence, teamwork, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are required, with bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
