This is a full-time, grant funded position.
Example of Duties:
* Build and maintain relationships with local high school guidance counselors, parents, and students to promote Passaic County Community College's STEM Pathways.
* Plan, schedule, and attend recruitment events and career fairs to engage with potential applicants.
* Conduct presentations about the college's STEM programs, STEM internship opportunities, and admission requirements for STEM TRACS Grant programs.
* Assist in coordinating the STEM Explorers Academy for incoming STEM majors during the Summer and Fall academic sessions.
* Coordinate pre-college services for incoming STEM majors.
* Document recruitment procedures and track recruitment data.
* Participate in project evaluation.
* Other activities as required related to the STEM TRACS grant.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree (required) in Education or related field required with an emphasis in STEM disciplines (preferred).
* Minimum 1 year experience as a recruiter for educational programs or admissions.
* Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with prospective students.
* Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
* Knowledge of recruitment processes.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The starting salary for this position is $45,000.
