Beginner ESL Program Instructor; PT

Position: Beginner ESL Program Instructor (PT)
We are seeking an instructor of Beginner ESL (English as a Second Language). Program classes provides instruction to our Beginner ESL courses (Basics, Foundations and PREP).

Example of Duties:

* Provide classroom instruction to participants in our intensive Beginner ESL classes focused on reading, writing, and speaking, in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi.

* Maintain scrupulous attendance.

* Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.

* Assist Adult Education staff with student advisement, coaching and registration.

* Meet all scheduled class sessions.

* Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

* Some experience in teaching low-level ESL required.

* Best Plus testing certification is plus.

* Follow curriculum guidelines.

* Expected to be available on the Main Campus in Paterson and at the Passaic Academic Center.

* Ability to work during day, evening, and weekend hours, as program requires.

The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.

Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$30.
