Skateboard Instructor – Summer 2026

We are looking for a Skateboard Instructor to teach campers aged 3‑15 at our skate park. The role includes supervising campers, providing instruction, maintaining safety, and serving as a positive role model. Activity Specialists may work extended hours for additional income ($30 per half hour).

• Ensure safety of campers and team members in and out of the skatepark area
• Enforce all rules and regulations
• Daily supervision of the skateboarding area
• Group supervision of campers with attention to behavior, group management, health, safety, security, and personal and skill development
• Daily instruction to campers between the ages of 6 and 15 with different ability levels
• Use effective management skills to lead the activity and create an inclusive and fun environment
• Motivate campers with songs, games, cheers, etc.
• Encourage creativity and critical thinking
• Work effectively with fellow Activity Specialists and Counselors; collaborate on daily responsibilities
• Serve as a positive role model to campers
• Able to work outside, upright and mobile for 6 to 8 hours per day
• Outstanding communication skills, written and oral, in all professional interactions
• Skateboarding experience (required)
• Reports directly to and takes direction from the Athletics Division Head

High school senior, college age, or teacher with available summers.

Skateboarding experience required; relevant certifications a plus.

Oak Crest Day Camp is located in Franklin Township. Camp dates:
June 29 – August 21, 2026 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:15 pm). No camp on Friday, July 3 and no nights or weekends.

Staff enjoy parties, outings, and opportunities to arrange transportation. In many cases we can also arrange for you to work as a bus counselor, which may increase your earnings.
