Superintendent – Middletown Township Public School District

The Middletown Township Public School District Board of Education seeks a visionary educational leader to guide our high-performing district through a transformative period of structural and academic challenges. The ideal candidate will be a masterful communicator and strategic problem-solver capable of unifying a community while maintaining a primary focus on the success of all students.

Located in Monmouth County, NJ, the Middletown Township Public School District provides PK-12 educational opportunities within sixteen schools, which serve approximately 8,600 students. The district is supported by a staff of 1,600 and has an operating budget of $201.4 million.

• NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility required
• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent preferred
• Experience as a principal and central office administrator preferred
• Experience as a classroom teacher preferred
• PK-12 experience preferred

• Experience at leading a district through complex transitions
• Efficient in operations including facilities, plant operations, and transportation
• Skilled in personnel management
• Proficient in finance and Long-Range Facilities Planning and able to plan and optimize resources in a challenging fiscal environment
• Effective communicator with the community, staff, parent, and Board members
• Act ethically
• Possess the personal characteristics of being a good listener, child-centered, honest, accessible, and involved in the school community

• The district expects to offer a salary in the range of $225,000 – $275,000 along with a compensation package for which employees are eligible, including medical insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, etc., subject to NJ regulations.
