Library​/Media Aide

The Franklin Township Board of Education located in Hunterdon County is seeking a part-time Library/Media Aide.

Location:

Franklin Township Board of Education.

Part-time - Tuesdays, 8:15 am – 3:30 pm from September 2026 – June 2027 (according to the Franklin Township School 26‑27 calendar).

Pay: $21.50 per hour.

Start Date:

September 2026.

• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication and ability to assist with instructional activities
• Computer proficiency
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

Reports to:

Vice‑Principal.

To provide support services inherent to the effective operation of the school media center.

• Assist students in locating reference materials.
• Assist students in making proper use of media center equipment and materials.
• Shelves library materials.
• Processes new books, magazines, and other media materials. Catalogs and files learning materials.
• Assists to maintain the Follett Library System. No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Assists in the operation of the circulation desk.
• Maintain and display periodicals and special educational displays.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
