Job Details Position Type:
Part Time After-School Tutor
The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking After-School Tutors.
The Program is Scheduled to start September 21, 2026. Program hours are from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Implementation of after-school tutoring program aligned with academic priorities.
- Assist to monitor student engagement and academic progress through regular check-ins and assessments.
- Assist with maintaining attendance records for students.
- Manage student groupings to ensure academic alignment and productive sessions.
- Address student behavior concerns and implement positive behavior interventions.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with safety protocols and school policies.
- NJDOE Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of best practices in teaching and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for young people.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and academic data use.
