Adjunct Faculty For Public Speaking
We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach Public Speaking. Example of Duties:
- Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi
- Meet all scheduled class sessions
- Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems
- Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program
- Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties
- Follow the following guidelines contained in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook
Qualifications:
- Advanced academic preparation in Communication, Speech, Theatre, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Rhetoric, or a related field (Master's degree or higher preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in public speaking, oral communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to teach foundational and intermediate concepts.
- Must have availability to teach during the day
- Experience in college-level teaching, rubrics, and classroom activities.
- Strong classroom management abilities and skill in creating inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning and speaking environments for diverse learners.
- Proficiency with educational technology, such as learning management systems, presentation software, and online resources to enhance instruction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback and learning assessments to students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff and to support the mission and values of a community college serving diverse communities.

Compensation:
The pay for this position is $996 per credit taught.
