Pet Trainer

Summary

Trains pets on Invisible Fence® Brand solutions and teaches customers how to reinforce approved training protocols.

• Provide pet training using the recommended Invisible Fence® Brand training method.
• Offer support and follow‑up training to customers, explaining training goals and equipment use.
• Set up, program, and adjust transmitters and receivers; maintain proper fit and system settings.
• Use the Dealer Tool to adjust system settings and track pet usage for efficient training.
• Keep company vehicles and training equipment clean and properly maintained.
• Deliver superior customer service: arrive on time, greet customers, address concerns promptly, and provide detailed reports of recommendations and observations.
• Recommend related products and services, and collect referrals and endorsement letters.
• Maintain a clean, professional training environment and adhere to safe driving practices.
• Maintain Ambassador status, actively seeking referrals, leads, and appointments with every customer contact.
• Collect all necessary paperwork and payments for additional services and submit to the GM in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory of training materials and assess customers’ pets for suitability, reporting issues to GM.
• Build customer relationships and generate self‑generated leads and reviews.
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues during the first visit to prevent go‑backs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record and proven driving skills.
• Minimum 1 year of pet training experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management, staff, and customers.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and time constraints while solving practical problems.
• Strong written and oral interpretation skills for instructions in various forms.
• Proficiency in using cellular phones and electronic devices for training services and note‑taking.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed for training.
• Results‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership and professionalism.
• Well‑groomed with a professional appearance.
• Experience traveling to customers’ homes and exposure to various weather conditions.
