Key Responsibilities
  • Develop in‑depth knowledge of SOTAX instruments and software
  • Perform new instrument and software installations
  • Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation services
  • Provide customer instrument and software training
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex laboratory automation equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and precision instrument calibrations
  • Manage spare parts and calibration equipment
  • Coordinate directly with customers to schedule service visits
  • Book required travel and maintain an up‑to‑date service schedule
  • Submit weekly expense reports and service documentation
  • Maintain regular communication with service leadership
  • Identify and communicate potential sales or service opportunities
Qualifications
  • Education or background in Chemistry or Electromechanical technology/engineering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Instrument calibration or service experience (a plus)
  • Comfortable using hand tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 35% of the time
