Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead multi-site operations within a CPG food manufacturing environment. This role oversees plant facilities, utilities, capital planning, and engineering project execution across refrigerated, frozen, and fresh production environments.

You will lead a team of 4 to 5 engineers and manage external contractors, driving capital projects, improving plant performance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Oversee plant facilities, utilities, and equipment maintenance
• Implement structured work order planning, scheduling, and MRO processes
• Manage CAD libraries and technical documentation
• Lead capital planning and execute projects from concept through close-out
• Manage projects ranging from $500K to $2M including automation, layout optimization, and utility upgrades
• Apply disciplined project management methodologies
• Develop and mentor engineering staff
• Manage contractor relationships
• Promote safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement

• 5 to 7 years of experience in CPG food manufacturing, preferably refrigerated, frozen, or fresh
• Plant-level experience with exposure to corporate engineering functions
• 1 to 3 years of operations supervision
• Strong background in plant facilities and operational engineering
• Proven capital project leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field

• MBA or Project Management certification
• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Experience in meat or dairy manufacturing
• Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations
• Proficiency in ERP and CAD systems
• Strong capital management and financial analysis skills
• Understanding of Industrial and Continuous Engineering principles
