JOS- Microvellum Engineer - NJ

Custom High-End Architectural Millwork MFG company is searching for a skilled Engineer with Microvellum. Previous Engineering of Custom High-End Woodworking or Architectural Millwork - if all you have done is cabinets then you are not qualified. This position can be remote for the right candidate and will report to the Director of Engineering.

• Identify product requirements and designs
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
• Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• High Level understand of Microvellum, screen-to-machine, & programming CNC
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
• Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
• Individual will prepare architectural shop/production drawings and work orders; read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications; calculate material requirements.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines & work experience as an Engineer and Microvellum Operator or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with computer-aided design (CAD), Microvellum software & Excel.
• Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus.
• Good math skills, familiarity with 3D modeling tools, & experience with Revit a plus.
• BSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college is a plus.
