OverviewWe are looking for an experienced candidate who will oversee the day-to-day operations and financial areas of REditor. The ideal candidate will be willing to “roll up their sleeves” as they will have a breadth of responsibility encompassing many business processes. This role is a strategic partner of the principals while working autonomously to ensure that the finance and operations functions are running at the highest level of efficiency.
This role is on a hybrid schedule with the candidate working up to 2 days per week in our NYC office.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and operations
- Assist CEO in budgeting and variance reporting
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Oversight of cash management
- Full responsibility for the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international tax filings in collaboration with outside accounting firms
- Manage billing processes, supporting internal stakeholders throughout the invoicing timeline
- Build relationships with clients to facilitate timely invoice payments
- Ongoing tracking and audit of billing rates
- Serve as in-house expert on billing system (BQE Core)
- Manage and track new contracts
- Manage expense processing including corporate credit cards and travel reimbursements
- Vendor selection and management
- Coordinate with HR to support event planning and new employee onboarding
- Office management
- IT equipment procurement and tracking
- Sales commissions and performance bonus tracking and calculations
- Payroll processing
- Insurance and contract compliance
- Manage corporate travel and event logistics
- Various special projects touching all business segments
- Bachelor’s degree in, Accounting, or Finance required
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in professional services a plus
- Attention to detail is a must
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Prior experience in BQE Core a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational and management skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines
- Must work in our NYC office up to 2 days per week
