The salary range for this position is $64,317.50 to $ for Schedule A, and $64,317.50 to $ for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to October 31, 2015, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after October 31, 2015, are considered Schedule

The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth. The Passaic Vicinage Probation Division seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) Child Support Enforcement Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for intake, establishment, enforcement, and modification of child support matters involving parties across different jurisdictions. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge and organizational skills, and mastery of the NJKiDS system as well as other required AOC automated systems.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and enforce interstate child support cases for Non-Custodial Parents to ensure compliance with monthly support obligations and enforce court orders.
- Review, record, and reconcile obligations, order details, and disbursement information, confirming arrears and contacting other jurisdictions for payment history or arrears certification.
- Apply enforcement remedies such as federal tax offset, administrative offset, passport denial, lottery intercept, among others.
- Respond to interstate alerts, telephonic inquiries, and address Non-Custodial Parents’ non-compliance by taking action including scheduling ELR hearings or recommending bench warrant issuance.
- Conduct extensive client interviews, extract relevant information, and present cases before Superior Court Judges and Hearing Officers on a scheduled or emergent basis.
- Negotiate payment settlements on bench warrants, re-establish obligations, and ensure the synchronization and timely sharing of information between jurisdictions.
- Conduct locate efforts to verify addresses/employment and ensure proper contact details.
- Manage and document communications and correspondence history between states/agencies.
- Provide post-court interviews, inform clients of available services, and serve as a resource for parties.
- Compile case files and prepare documentation for audits, review monthly statistical reports, and address alerts, emails, and inquiries from attorneys, litigants, court personnel, and outside agencies.
- Serve cooperatively as liaison with internal divisions, out-of-state Child Support/Probation agencies, and community partners; participate in child support outreach events as needed.
- Attend IV-D and Judiciary trainings, train and mentor new staff, serve on the UIFSA subcommittee, and support training initiatives.
