Insight Global is looking for a collaborative, student‑centered Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our Special Services team at Manville School District and help ensure equitable access to instruction through effective communication supports.
Role SummaryThe Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) provides prevention, assessment, and intervention for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication needs. This role partners closely with educators, related service providers, and families to design and implement services aligned to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and district priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment & Eligibility Conduct comprehensive speech‑language evaluations using standardized and functional measures.
- Contribute to Child Study Team processes; determine eligibility and present findings at IEP meetings.
- IEP Development & Service Delivery Draft measurable annual goals, benchmarks, and service minutes aligned to students’ educational needs.
- Provide direct and consultative services (individual/small‑group; push‑in/pull‑out) across settings.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions using evidence‑based practices and data.
- Collaboration & Consultation Partner with general and special educators to embed communication supports in classroom routines.
- Coach staff and families on strategies, home carryover, and environmental modifications.
- Participate on multidisciplinary teams (e.g., MTSS/RTI, Assistive Technology).
- AAC & Technology Recommend and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, low‑to‑high‑tech.
- Train students and staff in device use; integrate AAC into instruction and daily communication.
- Compliance & Documentation Maintain timely, accurate evaluation reports, treatment notes, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (as applicable).
- Ensure practices align with NJDOE/IDEA regulations, district policies, and professional ethics.
- Professional Growth Engage in ongoing professional development; contribute to program improvement initiatives.
