About the RoleAs a Senior Consultant Lead – Core Banking (FIS IBS), you will lead end-to-end client conversions and implementations on the FIS IBS platform. You will translate business and operational requirements into conversion specifications, own data mapping and validation, guide configuration and customization, and ensure readiness through testing, UAT, and go-live.
In This Role, You WillLead client discovery & requirements definition sessions.
Determine required IBS configurations and identify risks and dependencies.
Own conversion design & field-level data mapping from source systems to IBS.
Manage mapping iterations, validations, and change control with SMEs.
Develop and execute mock runs, exception reviews, and data validation.
Lead subsystem-to-GL reconciliation and financial accuracy reviews.
Direct readiness reviews, training, scripts, and environment preparation.
Manage UAT planning, scenario coverage, and defect triage.
Configure IBS product sets, parameters, forms, and screens.
Lead cutover, go-live, and post-conversion support/hypercare.
Serve as senior functional point of contact for status, risks, and decisions.
Mentor junior team members and promote best practices.
Maintain traceability across requirements, mapping, testing, and acceptance.
Work ModelThis is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence at client or Cognizant locations as needed. Working arrangements may evolve based on project or client needs, and we will always be transparent about expectations.
What You Must Have to Be Considered8–12+ years in core banking implementations with deep FIS IBS experience.
Proven leadership in data conversions including mapping, balancing, and validation.
Strong understanding of deposits, loans, payments, customer data, and reporting.
Hands-on IBS configuration expertise and defect management skills.
Knowledge of core integrations (GL, digital channels, payments, AML, reporting).
Strong client-facing leadership and stakeholder communication.
Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s preferred.
Preferred certifications: PMP/Prince2, CBAP, CSPO/SAFe, ITIL.

Compensation (Pay Transparency)Base salary range: $134,500 –$158,500 annually.
