Associate Director, Patient Data Management & Operations (ONC & NS)
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) is recruiting for the position of Associate Director, Patient Data Strategy and Management for Oncology and Neuroscience within the Customer Engagement and Digital Transformation (CEDT) team. This position is based in Titusville, NJ.
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to serve as the data quarterback for Patient Data for our Oncology and Neuroscience brands, leading the data strategy, management, and operations for the current portfolio and future launches.
Responsibilities- Own the overall management and operations of patient data for the Oncology and Neuroscience portfolio, overseeing strategy, operations, and ongoing data quality.
- Lead the ongoing quality and application of the JJIM data pipeline supporting insights & analytics, patient experience, and sales and marketing, ensuring high-quality data and appropriate use.
- Act as key contact for patient data needs, advising business teams on optimal data sources for given insights.
- Lead the patient data governance program for the ONC and NS portfolio, actively supervising data quality and resolving data issues.
- Drive data change management, issue resolution, and data integration projects for existing products and new launches.
- Lead data-centric projects, managing resources, execution, and communication throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal business partners on data validation, coordination, and reporting activities.
- Engage business process owners to align mitigation plans for data events on commercial operations processes.
- Lead annual data purchase or processing budgets, building purchase orders and collaborating with finance, procurement, and business owners on spending supervision.
- Maintain inventory of purchased data and promote organizational awareness of data applications.
- Participate in evaluating new data sources that may provide insights and competitive advantage.
- Ensure vendor alignment with Service Level Agreements by monitoring data quality, delivery, error reporting, resolution time, and account services.
- 8+ years of experience in data management, analytics, insights, or commercial excellence within pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, Analytics, or Health Sciences required; master’s degree or equivalent experience considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of first‑party, second‑party, and syndicated/secondary data sources used in pharma (e.g., HUB, Patient Support Programs, Specialty pharmacy, claims, RWE/HEOR).
- Experience establishing and leading data partnerships with external vendors.
- Strong grasp of data analytics, AI, and machine learning concepts and their application to business operations.
- Proficiency with data querying/business intelligence tools and systems for managing large datasets.
- Knowledge of data governance methodologies, data lifecycle, data quality, metadata, and overall data management.
- Critical thinking, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities based on data analysis.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the capacity to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry‑specific compliance considerations.

Benefits:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750 USD. Eligible employees may participate in company‑sponsored benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, group legal insurance, a consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)), and a long‑term incentive program.
