Role:
Generative Engine Optimization Strategist
This is a senior individual contributor and client‑advisory role. As a GEO Strategist / Consultant, you will serve as the strategic backbone of Indegene’s Generative Engine Optimization engagements — translating client business objectives into actionable GEO strategies, defining optimization roadmaps, and advising pharma brand, digital, and medical teams on how to achieve discoverability and authority in AI‑driven search ecosystems (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, and emerging LLM platforms).
You will work closely with the leadership, account teams, and delivery squads to shape engagement strategy, design solution frameworks, lead client workshops, and ensure that every GEO engagement is grounded in pharma domain reality and delivers measurable business impact.

Strategy Development & Client Advisory
- Develop comprehensive GEO strategies for pharma brands, therapeutic areas, and HCP/patient audiences — covering entity optimization, content authority, structured data, and LLM discoverability.
- Conduct GEO audits and maturity assessments for client digital ecosystems; identify gaps in AI search readiness and define prioritized optimization roadmaps.
- Advise clients on AI‑first content transformation — restructuring content supply chains, governance models, and publishing workflows to maximize LLM discoverability.
- Translate complex GEO technical concepts into business narratives that resonate with pharma brand, digital, medical, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Lead strategic workshops and discovery sessions with client teams to align GEO initiatives with broader commercial and omnichannel objectives.
- Architect GEO solution frameworks for new business pursuits — defining scope, deliverables, timelines, resource models, and pricing in partnership with the GEO Director.
- Contribute to proposal responses, capability presentations, and RFP/RFI submissions with strategic depth and pharma domain credibility.
- Develop reusable strategy templates, playbooks, and best‑practice guides that codify Indegene’s GEO methodology for the life sciences context.
- Support thought leadership creation — white papers, POVs, case studies, conference presentations — that position Indegene as the authority in pharma GEO.
- Serve as the strategic anchor on active GEO engagements — ensuring that delivery execution stays aligned with the strategic intent and business outcomes agreed with the client.
- Conduct regular strategy reviews with delivery leads to course‑correct, optimize approach, and identify upsell opportunities.
- Define and monitor engagement-level KPIs: AI citation rate, entity authority scores, LLM content coverage, and AI share of voice — translating performance data into strategic recommendations.
- Navigate MLR/Med Legal considerations in GEO strategy design, ensuring all recommendations are regulatory‑compliant while maximizing search and AI performance.
- Track the rapidly evolving AI search and LLM landscape; synthesize emerging trends and competitive intelligence into actionable insights for the practice.
- Build internal IP — GEO frameworks, benchmarking models, competitive analysis tools, and research reports — that strengthen Indegene’s market positioning.
- Mentor GEO Leads and Analysts on strategic thinking, client communication, and pharma domain application.
- Contribute to CoE initiatives — methodology refinement, tool evaluation, and cross‑functional integration with content, omnichannel, and data teams.
- MBA from a premier institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Certifications in SEO/GEO, Digital Marketing, AI/ML, or Analytics (Google, Bright Edge, Moz, Hub Spot, Semrush, Profound) are an advantage.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in digital strategy, SEO, content strategy, or digital marketing — with at least 3+ years in a strategic/consulting capacity.
