Role Summary
The Senior Manager Data Products – Therapeutic Area (TA) shapes and delivers high-value, user-focused data products enabling advanced analytics, data science, and AI/ML across the TA (preclinical, translational, clinical, competitive intelligence, and RWD/RWE).
Key Responsibilities- Own delivery of TA-facing data products; translate scientific/analytics use cases into functional and technical requirements.
- Execute a TA data product roadmap aligned to enterprise data strategy.
- Lead/support agile delivery and adherence to FAIR data principles.
- Drive integration/harmonization across internal/external sources (e.g., clinical trial data, omics, imaging, competitor intelligence, registries, RWE).
- Develop/curate/apply TA ontologies; align semantic models/metadata to enterprise standards and frameworks (e.g., CDISC, GA4GH, FHIR, NCI Thesaurus).
- Partner across TA Data Science, clinical/translational/scientific stakeholders, and enterprise architecture/governance/MDM/knowledge graph/catalog platforms; interface with IT, compliance, and regulatory.
- Lead team direction, governance/agile practices, and coaching/mentorship.
- Define/monitor product KPIs and communicate value realization.
- PhD or Master’s in Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Life Sciences, or related.
- 6–10+ years in pharma/biotech R&D in data products/engineering/analytics platforms/data science.
- Experience delivering domain-specific TA data products; hands‑on multi‑modal data (omics, imaging, translational/clinical trial data and/or RWD/RWE).
- Strong data product design, modeling, integration, transformation; familiarity with research/clinical/regulatory requirements.
- Working knowledge of metadata management, ontologies/semantic models, knowledge graphs; experience aligning to CDISC/GA4GH/FHIR.
