Director – Head of Compute Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global compute infrastructure strategy across on‑premises, cloud, VMWare, hybrid, and edge environments
• Drive technology selection, standardization, and architectural direction for all compute platforms
• Lead evaluation and adoption of emerging compute technologies (AI/ML accelerators, specialized hardware)
• Build, lead, and mentor global compute engineering teams across multiple geographies
• Foster culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
• Oversee design, deployment, and operation of global compute infrastructure
• Ensure high availability (99.99%+) through robust architecture and disaster recovery planning
• Drive SRE practices to improve reliability and reduce operational toil

• 10+ years of experience working on engineering and infrastructure management with a significant focus on managing storage workloads.
• Expert‑level proficiency in at least one storage solution and backup solutions.
• Proven expertise with AWS, including hands‑on experience Backup and DR including cyber resiliency.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, data governance, and best practices for deploying and managing workloads.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, and identity and access management.
