Business Insights Specialist

• Conduct analyses on curated and/or aggregated Data Marts to generate analytical insights
• Identify opportunities to drive business growth and value
• Partner with business leaders to present insights and recommended business actions
• Deliver supporting collateral and presentations tailored to the audience
• Interpret complex business issues and provide multifaceted insights
• Serve as the primary interface between business teams and analytics/reporting teams
• Translate business requirements into analytics requirements
• Provide business expertise and context for analytics discovery and recommendations
• Provide day-to-day analytics support and delivery
• Build business requirements and facilitate project execution
• Collaborate with partners to deliver fact-based analytical advice aligned with strategy
• Identify potential use cases and value drivers for business growth
• Explain anomalies and outliers identified during analysis
• Train business users to integrate analytics into decision-making
• Develop analyses to corroborate proof of concept
• Execute data requests accurately and promptly
• Identify and investigate data and analytics issues
• Lead or facilitate remediation plans for performance, risk, and governance issues
• Monitor emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain risk‑management and control processes
• Participate in knowledge transfer, cross‑training, mentoring, and team development
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform occasional domestic travel and continuous sedentary analytical and office‑equipment work

• Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, e.g. math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science
• Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience
• Higher degree education and research tenure can be counted toward experience
• Specialized knowledge in business insights, analytics, and business management
• Ability to conduct complex analysis on curated and/or aggregated Data Marts
• Ability to interpret complex business issues and generate multifaceted insights
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytics and reporting requirements
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative methodologies
• Knowledge of data capabilities, analytics tools, techniques, and methods
• Ability to create visualizations and presentations
• Ability to investigate data and analytics‑related issues
• Ability to manage stakeholder and business‑partner relationships
• Knowledge of financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and physical asset controls
• Ability to assess regulatory requirements and manage risk and governance issues
• Ability to work autonomously and lead within a specialized function

Demonstrates expertise in conducting complex analyses on Data Marts to generate actionable business insights, while effectively translating business requirements into analytics and reporting needs. Proficient in managing stakeholder relationships and delivering tailored presentations that drive business growth and value.
