Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are representing a highly regarded aerospace and advanced manufacturing client in its search for a Supply Chain Manager. The role sits within a thriving Cincinnati operation that supports flagship commercial engine programs and customers worldwide, at a time when the business is opening up entirely new markets across North America, Europe, and Asia. This is less about preserving what already works and more about helping to architect and expand a global supply chain during a period of authentic growth.

We are searching for a leader who is happy to operate hands on, someone capable of owning global sourcing, sharpening supplier performance, and instilling operational excellence right across a complex international network.

Why this role
  • An operation on the move. Stable yet steadily evolving, it benefits from continued investment in stronger processes.
  • Close working partnerships. You will sit shoulder to shoulder with Engineering, Quality, and Operations and watch your input take effect.
  • Demanding and precise. Within this regulated, high specification world, what you decide matters for quality, safety, and performance.
  • Genuinely international. Your suppliers stretch across borders, giving you ample space to shape outcomes and to travel.
  • Both the horizon and the here and now. You will set the long term sourcing course while keeping your hands on daily operations.
  • Real accountability. Leading on supplier strategy, sourcing, and improvement, you will be steering rather than reacting.
What you will do
  • Keep purchasing squarely within the bounds of industry regulations and company policy.
  • Craft and deliver global procurement strategies built to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Stand up and broaden supplier networks for aerospace grade components and materials.
  • Take charge of the full procure to pay lifecycle, encompassing RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and invoice resolution.
  • Evaluate and elevate supplier performance using metrics, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Guide, mentor, and build out a high caliber team, with care given to performance management and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to work through supply issues and keep production running smoothly.
  • Push department KPIs forward and lend support to the company's wider objectives.
Requirements
  • An ease with reading and applying engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • A bachelor's qualification in supply chain, engineering, or a related area.
  • A clear track record across supplier negotiations, contract management, and relationship building.
  • Seven years or more of international supply chain experience gained in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing industry.
  • A dependable understanding of metal commodities together with outside processing or treatments.
  • A leadership or management tenure spanning at least four years.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, among them machining, milling, fabrication, casting, and forging.
  • First hand experience sourcing complex machined parts, specialized components, or advanced materials.
  • A readiness to take on international travel as circumstances require.
  • First rate analytical, organizational, and communication strengths.
Preferred
  • A background in creating or expanding supplier networks within fresh regions or markets.
  • A master's qualification in a pertinent subject.
  • Comfort with ERP platforms, Global Shop and/or Epicor in particular.
  • An accredited supply chain certification, such as CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP.
Benefits
  • A 401(k) with an employer match of 5%, accessible once three months have passed.
  • A base salary positioned between $125,000 and $140,000, determined by experience, education, and qualifications.
  • Three weeks of accrued paid vacation befitting this management level.
  • A discretionary bonus of up to 20%.
  • Reimbursement toward tuition.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance, active from the first of the month following your start.
  • Five paid sick days.
  • An element of international travel connected to overseeing and developing the global supplier base.
  • A referral program for employees.
  • The possibility of relocation assistance for a candidate who fits the bill.
  • Avenues for career development, taking in new manager and quality training programs.
