Role Overview:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing and utility equipment within a high-speed corrugated packaging facility. This role supports daily production by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe plant operations.
This is a hands‑on role requiring strong experience in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
, including troubleshooting PLCs, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and production equipment. The position supports 2nd or 3rd shift operations and requires flexibility to work overtime and weekends based on production needs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits, sensors, encoders, drives, relays, and automation systems.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience with motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and machine repairs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
- Experience with in die cutting, laminating, or printing operations in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Experience with corrugating equipment, including Bobst die cutters, laminators, and gluers highly preferred.
- Knowledge of printing press equipment is a plus.
- Welding, piping, or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

- Ability to support extended shifts and overtime as needed.
- Troubleshoot production equipment: Diagnose and repair electro‑mechanical systems including corrugators, die cutters, gluers, conveyors, wrappers, and strappers.
- Support automation systems: Troubleshoot PLCs, drives, motors, relays, contractors, sensors, and related control components.
- Perform mechanical repairs: Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete preventive maintenance: Perform PM tasks and machine cleaning to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Maintain maintenance records: Accurately document repairs, PMs, and work orders within the CMMS system.
- Follow safety procedures: Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all company safety standards.
- Communicate equipment issues: Coordinate with supervisors regarding repairs, machine performance, and operational concerns.
- Support continuous improvement: Assist with maintenance projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain work environment: Keep maintenance and production areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
