Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager (SPM) will be responsible for the Eureka floor care category with a special focus on new product development and road map planning.

The SPM will drive product innovation plans based on market and consumer insights and work cross-functionally to manage new product launches across online and in store channels. This role delivers growth by translating consumer and market needs to actionable product pipelines that align with Midea’s financial, brand and product goals.

What You’ll Do
  • New Product & Innovation Development: Own the product roadmap and drive its execution by partnering with category management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to bring new solutions to market. Work with Engineering and other cross-functional teams to develop rigorous project requirements and test plans, both lab and in-field to ensure quality and consumer acceptance.
  • Consumer & Market Insights: Be the voice of the consumer. Analyze competitive sales, market, and consumer data to identify trends and recommend new products based on true consumer and customer needs. Spend time in the field connecting with consumers and gaining valuable insights to instruct development teams and feed product pipelines. Be aware of market trends and competitive activity to inform product positioning, claims, product line strategies, and innovation needs.
  • Go To Market/Launch Planning: Utilize data to inform launch asset planning: claims, positioning, full funnel marketing plans, etc. Work closely with Category Management and Marketing teams to produce all collateral necessary for launch: packaging design, POP, photography & videography shot lists, animations, digital assets, how to videos, sales training guides, etc. Ensure consistent messaging that aligns with the overall brand strategy.
  • Category Support: Work with Category Management team to support overall category needs: product life cycle, pricing, channel strategy, and in-market performance. Align on new product channel and pricing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Category, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams throughout the NPD process to ensure alignment and deliver on time, in full launches that deliver on stated business goals.
  • Customer Management: Work with Sales and Category teams to develop customer specific strategies. Partner on product line review (PLR) and other customer facing presentations using customer, industry, market, and competitive data. Work with Engineering teams to develop competitive comparisons and product demos that highlight product performance and competitive advantage.
  • Financial Performance Management: Routinely analyze project financials and hold teams accountable for achieving set cost targets. Work with the team to recommend corrective actions and pivot when/where necessary to ensure new products meet revenue, margin and profit goals.
  • Communication: Maintain a solid operating rhythm with internal and external partners: ongoing projects, category insights, new opportunities and implemented initiative results. Create and maintain regular reporting.
What You’ll Bring
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field;
    Advanced degree preferred.
