the Role

HCLTech is seeking a seasoned marketing leader to take the helm as Head of Industry Marketing – Telecom. In this high‑impact role, you will define and execute global marketing strategies that elevate HCLTech’s presence in the Telecom sector, drive engagement with key decision‑makers, and generate measurable business impact. You will lead a global Telecom marketing team, collaborating closely with business leaders, sales, and cross‑functional teams across regions to ensure marketing efforts are tightly aligned with overall business priorities.

This is an opportunity to position HCLTech as a thought leader in the Telecom industry, communicating our unique capabilities and solutions to senior executives, network operators, service providers, and ecosystem partners.

The role is based in New Jersey / New York or Dallas and reports into VP and Global Head of TMT Industry Marketing.

Key Responsibilities Go-to-Market & Campaign Execution
  • Define the vision and roadmap for global Telecom marketing, ensuring strategies support revenue growth, brand leadership, and market differentiation.
  • Lead and mentor a geographically distributed marketing team, setting clear objectives, priorities, and performance goals.
  • Develop innovative programs to showcase HCLTech’s Telecom solutions, services and value propositions in a way that resonates with industry stakeholders.
Go-to-Market & Campaign Delivery
  • Plan and execute multi‑channel campaigns, including Account-Based Marketing (ABM), digital initiatives, events, content syndication, and social selling.
  • Design client engagement programs that strengthen relationships, build awareness, and
  • Oversee creation of high‑impact content—case studies, whitepapers, videos, webinars, and thought leadership materials to support target account engagement across the buyer
Executive & Industry Engagement
  • Build and scale platforms for CXO‑level engagement that position HCLTech as a strategic partner in the Telecom industry.
  • Amplify HCLTech’s brand and thought leadership across the sector through targeted messaging, executive storytelling, and market presence.
  • Partner with cross‑regional teams to produce compelling, industry‑specific content that highlights capabilities and client successes.
Sales Alignment & Business Impact
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with sales leadership to create marketing plans that drive pipeline, revenue, and deal conversion.
  • Support revenue growth through demand generation, cross‑sell/upsell initiatives, and account renewal programs.
  • Collaborate with sales to identify target accounts, stakeholders, and buyer personas, executing segmented marketing programs tailored to business needs.
Measurement & Optimization
  • Track and analyze performance metrics across campaigns, content, and events to optimize ROI and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Deliver actionable insights and reporting to senior leadership to inform future strategies.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate new marketing technologies and tools to enhance team performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performing environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and results‑driven execution.
Requirements and Skills
  • 12+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a proven track record in industry or vertical marketing, preferably in Telecom.
