Part-Time Support Staff (Early Morning Shift)

Location: Monroe, NJ
Schedule: 5:30 AM – 8:30/9:00 AM | ~15 hours/week
Job Type: Part-time
Pay Rate: $25 per hour

We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and compassionate Support Staff member to provide morning assistance to an individual who benefits from consistent structure and supportive guidance. Due to occasional last-minute schedule changes and refusals, we need someone who is comfortable adapting quickly while maintaining a calm, steady presence.

The ideal candidate is kind but firm
, patient, and skilled in helping with transitions. This position is especially important on days when support is unexpectedly needed, so flexibility is a key part of the role.

• Provide morning support to the individual, ensuring a smooth start to the day

• Assist with routine, transitions, and maintaining consistency

• Offer calm, clear guidance when plans change or when resistance occurs

• Communicate effectively with the team regarding attendance or schedule changes

• Create and maintain a supportive, respectful environment

• Follow established care plans and support strategies

• 5:30 AM – 8:30/9:00 AM
  , Monday–Friday

• Approximately 15 hours per week

• Days off and holidays included

• Must be comfortable with occasional last-minute scheduling needs

• Experience in caregiving, direct support, behavioral support, or similar roles (preferred)

• Strong ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent

• Skilled at managing transitions and offering clear guidance

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling

• Able to build rapport with someone they have not previously met

• Kind, patient, and steady

• Comfortable with unpredictable situations

• Flexible with last-minute needs

• Confident and able to maintain structure in a supportive way
