Position SummaryAre you an experienced Travel RN who thrives in long-term care? We are seeking a compassionate, flexible, and skilled Long-Term Care Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Buffalo Center, IA. In this role, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment—managing chronic conditions, administering medications, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and supporting resident comfort and safety.

Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and continuously monitor changes in health status.
Administer prescribed medications, manage IV therapy, and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
Provide skilled wound care and execute pressure ulcer prevention protocols.
Identify acute health changes, elevate as necessary, and update individualized care plans.
Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and families to optimize care coordination.
Educate residents and family members on disease management, medications, and safety planning.
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program (BSN preferred).
Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Iowa or an active Compact/NLC state license.
Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certified Gerontological Nurse (CGN) or related gerontology credential preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings required.
Skills: Strong care coordination skills, proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and excellent family communication.
