Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Registered Nurse, working closely with school communities in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time position spans from September 4th to June 25th, running Monday through Friday, 8:15AM to 3:15PM, for 35 hours per week. You'll play a vital role in student wellness, health education, and supporting safe school operations.

Qualifications:
- Active NJ School Nurse RN licensure (no LPNs)
- Demonstrated experience in a school-based nursing role
- Confidence in managing caseloads across elementary and middle school populations
- Ability to oversee health services for entire school buildings
- Familiarity and comfort navigating district procedures and policies
- Access to reliable transportation and proximity for daily commute
- Completion of onboarding requirements: TB test, physical exam, and both agency and district fingerprinting
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive health care and emergency response to students and staff
- Conduct health screenings, manage chronic and acute health concerns, and maintain accurate health documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and district personnel to foster a healthy school environment
- Establish and implement individualized health plans as needed
- Educate students on health practices, hygiene, and wellness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and district regulations across assigned buildings
