Axalta, a global coatings company, is seeking a Performance Manager to work remotely from the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. The role requires frequent travel, with more than 50% of the time spent on customer site visits.
Key Responsibilities- Acts as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and builds strong, collaborative relationships.
- Provides high-level dedicated customer support with frequent face‑to‑face visits.
- Performs shop audits to ensure Axalta equipment is in good working condition, products are used correctly, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Analyzes cost and productivity KPIs and reviews data with customer management.
- Manages budget for each center, ensuring monthly costs stay within allotted parameters.
- Works closely with the servicing distribution partner (jobber) to maintain proper support and inventory levels.
- Identifies and advises on process improvements to alleviate customer roadblocks.
- Maintains an organized communication approach with a regular call schedule and clearly documents interactions in Salesforce (SFDC); follows up on issues in a timely manner.
- Uses technology (SharePoint, Salesforce, Office
365, etc.) to enhance productivity and communication with team and customers. - Involves local Axalta teams and engages appropriate resources for additional support when necessary.
- Experienced sales professional with an automotive refinish background and a strong track record of customer support.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of automotive refinish industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Must be willing and able to travel more than 50% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong knowledge of repair shop operations and distribution fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of Axalta’s core APL product lines.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Professional demeanor toward customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in unstructured, autonomous conditions.
- Ability to embrace both customer and company cultures.
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication, including call reports and visit summaries.
- Competent Office
365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create reports, presentations, pivot tables, and provide data‑driven recommendations.
