Environmental Scientist

The Axel Group is seeking an Environmental Scientist for our client's team in the Camden County, NJ area. This role involves managing environmental investigation and remediation projects from initial assessment through regulatory closure. The ideal candidate will have experience with environmental site assessments, remediation, regulatory compliance, and managing field investigations while maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

• Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects from assessment through closure
• Oversee Phase I & Phase II ESAs, soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations
• Conduct environmental sampling and site investigations as needed
• Prepare technical reports, assessments, and regulatory documentation based on environmental data and site findings
• Support NJDEP compliance and the LSRP process
• Coordinate field activities, contractors, schedules, and project deliverables
• Manage client communication, budgets, and project timelines

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing environmental site investigations and remediation projects
• Experience with Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and environmental due diligence
• Strong background managing soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations
• Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and environmental remediation processes preferred
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management abilities

• Salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000, based on experience
