Maintenance Mechanic;

Overview

Maintenance Mechanic (Multiple Shifts Available) – Join to apply for the Maintenance Mechanic role at Compo Secure.

• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery.
• Perform emergency repairs on all production equipment and machinery.
• Conform to all procedures regarding spare parts usage.
• Perform repairs and maintenance according to OSHA and other safety requirements, including lockout/tagout.
• Complete maintenance and repairs in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
• Maintain mechanical availability of all production and facility equipment.

• Maintain a daily log of Preventive Maintenance and downtime through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain a daily work log and end-of-day report to upper management.
• Assist Parts Inventory Clerk with proper specs and information when sourcing parts for repairs and regular maintenance.
• Work with outside contractors during routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Provide timely corrective action response and resolution to relevant situations.
• As required, install new equipment, perform facility upgrades, perform repair work, and support production.
• Engage and support company-wide Safety and Cleanliness Programs.
• Contribute to EMS (Environment Management System) obligations and sustainability practices such as recycling guidelines and waste handling.
• Perform other job functions as assigned.

• A minimum 7-10 years (or more) of relevant experience.
• Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, Electro-Mechanical training; a plus.
• High School Diploma required;
  Vocational Degree preferred.
• Experience with a virtual work order and spare parts management system preferred.
• Strong analytical skills; task-oriented with excellent organizational abilities; ability to prioritize workload.
• Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable, professional, self-motivated, creative and innovative.

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to sustain physical work for 8+ hours on a 3-shift operation or 12+ hours per day on a 24/7 operation.
• Standing, reaching and pulling, sight, walking through shop, bending, climbing and crouching.
• Office environment is moderate noise; shop noise levels require protective ear coverings.
• Occasional exposure to external weather conditions; short-notice overtime may be required due to equipment or facility breakdowns.
• Repair work on heavy equipment often in seated or standing positions; exposure to grease, oil, and water.
• Mechanics must provide their own hand tools; company supplies specialty tools.
