We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Energy Technician. This role acts as a local on‑site program and company representative to residential customers. Responsibilities include installing energy efficient equipment, conducting pre‑ and post‑installation verifications, and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. The technician provides technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications.
The technician troubleshoots technical problems and issues, recommends solutions, and represents the program and company to customers and contractors, encouraging participation and overcoming barriers. The role requires traveling throughout a defined territory.
- Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades
- Record and report customer and contractor interactions to program staff to adhere to program requirements
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues regarding installation in accordance with client specifications
- Act as local, on‑site program and company representative to customers and contractors to encourage participation and overcome barriers
- Travel throughout a defined territory
- 0–1 year of experience
- High school or Associate’s Degree
If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
CompensationHourly: $19.90 – $27.50 USD. Salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g., JD/technology). Salary is not subject to sponsorship or work‑authorization support.
