Full-time Open Position Announcement. Department:
Sewer Utility. Workweek:
Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M., plus off hours scheduled or emergency callout work, if required. Must be available for emergencies 24 hours a day and have a telephone to be contacted as needed. Subject to change based upon the needs of the department and the Township. Wage:
Per Ordinance – Salary range $27,550 – $77,500 White Collar, Non-Exempt. Definition:
Under direct supervision develops a working knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, practices, occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in performing routine general plumbing such as maintenance and less difficult tasks involved in installation of plumbing facilities; works with various hand tools and the more simple machine tools common to the trade; may be called on to do other types of general maintenance work;

does other related duties as required.

• Assisting the Township Plumber with duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, installations, repairs, maintenance of gas, water and waste disposal pipes and facilities.
• Inspecting, testing, repairing and installing fixtures.
• Removing stoppages from piping and toilet, sink and other facilities.
• Knowledge of basic operations of personal computers for the processing of emails, memos, work orders, and general record keeping is required.
• Candidate must be capable of using various tools and equipment.
• This position will require the ability to lift 75 pounds and climb a 40-foot ladder.
• Candidate must possess a current valid NJ Driver License.
• A plumber’s license is not required, but the individual will be strongly encouraged to work towards the goal of fulfilling the necessary requirements, including evening courses, needed to obtain a NJ Plumbing License.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English.
