commuting area – you will travel to customers (some require overnight) pick up tools, etc. in office and work from home answering customer questions.
$55,000 - $60,000 annually ($26.00 - $29.00/hour)
Overtime eligible hourly position
Quarterly performance bonus based on billable customer hours
Mileage reimbursement-personal vehicle is required
Comprehensive on-boarding and technical training program
Additional electrical competency training provided within the first 90 days for qualified candidates

What You'll DoAs a Field Service Technician, you'll be the face of Trotec Laser, helping customers maximize the performance of their laser systems through:
- Performing onsite installations, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, software, and system issues
- Providing customer training on operation, applications, and preventative maintenance
- Delivering technical support via phone, email, and other electronic communication
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Working closely with Sales, Applications, Customer Service, and other internal teams
- Creating organized and detailed service reports
- Assisting in the development and improvement of technical documentation
- Installing and configuring hardware and software upgrades
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism during complex or high-pressure situations

Mechanically and electrically inclined
A skilled problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting technical challenges
Electrical KnowledgeCandidates may be assessed on the following competencies:
- Electrical fundamentals: current, voltage, resistance, and grounding
- AC and DC circuits
- Low-voltage systems
- Electrical safety standards and best practices
- Power supply functionality
- Electrical components including switches, resistors, relays, and fuses
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Measure AC/DC signals and low-voltage circuits
- Test electrical components and power supplies
- Diagnose and repair technical equipment issues
- Strong computer and software skills
- Laser systems experience (CO₂ and/or Fiber)
- CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, MasterCAM, or similar software
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Associate degree, technical school certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and computer software preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance
